Tips
-Don't put De-tangler in the horses mane before you braid it because this will make it very difficult
-The braids come out neater with a shorter mane
-If your horses mane is TOO short then it can be very difficult
-Wetting down mane will make braiding easier
-Have some type of hair clip on hand,so you can keep hair that your not braiding out of the way
-Double-banding is recommended

Steps
1. Brush out the mane and dampen.
2. Take a small section of hair. The width of the section depends on the thickness of the mane. Bigger section for thinner mane and smaller for thicker.
3. Now you can pin other hair back so it doesn't get in your way but that's optional. Start the braid close to the crest pulling down, its important to keep the braid very tight.
4. Once you have braided all the way down, put a band on the end.
5. Repeat steps 2,3 and 4,keeping the braids the same size, until you have braided the entire mane.
6. Once the whole mane is braided,go back to the first braid. Take the braid and fold it under. Band it close to the crest.
7. Repeat step 6 all the way down the mane.
8. Once you have gone down the entire mane, you decide if you want to fold then all under again,or keep them like they are. Horses who have quite short manes, one fold is enough, but some horses need two folds. But it is up to you!
