- Wetting down does help
Steps
(The steps are the same for the tail and forelock)
1. Brush out forelock or tail
2. Start at the top of the forelock or tail
3. Divide hair at the top into 3 small sections of hair
4. Cross the left section over the middle section. Then take the right section over the section that is now in the middle (orignally the left section)
5. Take some more hair from the left of the tail and add it to the section on the left (originally the middle section) and cross it over as before
6.Continue with steps 4 and 5 until you are about 3/4 of the way done the tail bone. Keep each side of the braid as even as possible and maintain even pressure.
Always keep the braid in the center
7. Now stop adding hair and normally braid the rest of the hairs in your hand
8. Put a rubber band around the end of the braid
9. You can be done here or you can fold the braid under and secure another rubber band
